ATS and Suncoast are the only good co's I know of. I can't find the url for ATS at the moment. No such thing as a shift kit for the allison. You need to replace clutches for more holding power. From the numbers you list, your tranny is not long for the world. Anything more than about 700ft lbs at the rear wheels will slip the tranny.

Just curious, what mods do you have on her?

ATS and Suncoast are the real players. www.atsdiesel.com is the ATS site.

The Horsepower and torque levels are as follows:

Level I 60HP and 120Torque

Level II 90HP and 180Torque

Level III 130HP and 260Torque

Level IV 240HP and 390Torque

In addition, the HOT LLY Xcelerator raises the rev limiter to 3,800RPM. This unit also retains the stock program so that the truck can be put back to the original settings if the need arises. The Xcelerator also increases the efficiency of the vehicle, which increases fuel mileage (2-3mpg on average).

In addition to being an all-star in the world of performance, the Xcelerator is also capable of reading and clearing Data Trouble Codes (DTC) through the OBD II port. Xcelerator can reset the Allison? transmission for ?Fast Learn? operation to begin.

In order to insure that you are getting the best product available, we have tested this product off-road, in the desert, the ¼ mile drag strip, the Rocky Mountains , and in the dyno room. You can also stack the Duramaximizer, Propane, and/or Nitrous with the Xcelerator for even greater results. Take a look at the charts on the next page to see what this product is capable of doing.

You are correct... Bullydog also sells one, but none of them increase the ability of the allison to hold more power, so they are waste of money. The clutches and the torque converter are the weak links.

so increasing line pressure on these will do nothing for it? how many clutches do i need to replace to beef this up enough...? wow this is not going to be cheap...

SunCoast shift kit is a TransGo and it requires the trans to be pulled apart to install it. BullyDog has a shift enhancement kit that only needs the valve body removed.

You must have been on Allison site. I think thats BS. A shift kit will defiantly help. TransGo claims 600hp with their kit but when you go for stupid power ( its not hard to on a D-Max) then yes you need clutches to.

Another place you might want to check out is (www.bddieselperformance.com) or (www.BD-Power.com). They make some pretty state of the art stuff for the Allison and the Dmax. :chevy:
