Well, after almost two weeks, I finally received my JesseTune today and the first thing I noticed was a considerably smoother idle. Shifting is a bit more pronounced and the torque management is all but gone. My primary reason for getting the pcm tune was for gas mileage, so I'll update this when I get the new numbers. I think I'll send him my original pcm and have a balls-out runner made out of it.

The only thing I wish Jesse would do is send a print out of the mods he did that way if you need to send it back, you can give him more educated answers to his questions. It'll also give you an idea where your truck is.

Pretty impressed with the wake up he gave my truck so far and it hasn't tripped a code yet. :(

I got mine last week and installed it, I could feel a difference, but not what I was expecting. I do like the new tranny mapping, I spoke with Jesse and he is in the process of fixing me up with the "balls to the wall, beat the heck out of your truck" tune. I cannot wait to get it back! As customer service goes, Jesse is the bomb and I will order from him again!!!!!

I've not seen the gains he said I would in highway mileage. I did see a 1-1.5 mpg gain on city driving though. Better mileage on highway would be hard to do on my truck. I already average between 18.5-21.5 depending on the trip. Only got in the 20's on a trip across country and non-stop to a nascar race. This past weekend I did my normal mileage of 18.5 on a trip to cabelas.

I can never get that kind of mileage only maybe if I am driving between 60 and 65 mph. How fast do you drive when you get that kind of mileage?

mpg is a tricky game. theres some unknown that i keep overlooking because i USE to get great mpg but lately with my new tires i couldn't get 18 mpg goin 60 mph down hill.

I get that kind of mileage running 70-75mph and keeping my foot out of it and not running the cruise so that the truck doesn't shift as much. I back out of the gas sometimes to keep it from shifting. Also don't use gas that has ethanol. That kills your mileage. I have 3.73 gears in the truck also.

I can never get over 18 mpg going over 70, something with truck I guess. This is also with a gas tune from wester. I just put in some 89 octane with 10% ethanol and seems to be getting better mileage, so go figure.

Go my tune today and plan on putting it in later. With stock tune i got 18.7 average on my trips upnorth and running around home. We will see how much i gain. I will keep everyone posted.

I've had my tune for about 2 tankfuls and on the last tank

w/89 my avg was 16.7 (on the dic) mixed in town/highway

way better than the 14.5 I was getting pre-tune :(

Easier said than done here in California... :D

ya, and add 115* temps. and your mpg. go to sh*t real fast..

one of the things i found is take a good look at the frount of your truck. big square box, pushing all that air in frount of it. it's hard to get good mpg. with that.

i have a 03 SS and drive between 75-80 mph. and get 13.5-14.5 mpg. if i drive 55mph i can get 17.5-17.8 mpg. with the a/c on. so the best way is to slow down to get the mpg's out of our trucks, good tune up, proper psi. in the tires, clean air/ fuel filters regular oil change, and last drive like an old fart :driving:

as for me .....CAN'T DRIVE AT 55 ...i'll spend the extra at the pump :nopity:

:P
