Stage 2 HID Lights

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just put HID4Less.com Stage 2 HID Lights on my C3 Pickup. I have to say this is the baddest lightening system I ever seen, even compared to Stage 1 HID. Stage 2 are just much brighter and clearer. I have Pia Superwhites on my Highs and it is not even close. The pia look good compared to stock, but compared to the Stage 2, not even close. Its yellow vs white. I pulled the truck up to the APCs in my vette and they do not compare. I will get some pics sometime soon. Thanks Tom Byrne for the great service( and price, $100 off) and HID4less.com for the install help. They are plug and play, but I had a few minor blips I had to take care. Other then that, easy. I recommend these lights. By the way, the price is not the listed price. Contact Tom Byrne for a great sale price.

Real HID the bulbs never have to be replaced enless you break it. They don't burn out.  They have no filimite (sp.) they work much like a neon light does by using electricity to excite the Xeon gas.

yep...HID's have a VERY, VERY long life.  I'd love to get a pair, but I have a hard time spending $700+ for headlights that are not DOT approved.  I've driven vehicles with them before....and yes, they are VERY nice to have.  I'd definately check the option box on my next vehicle if it is an option....

What kind of problem did you have when installing your HIDs? I have a C3 also and I am very interested in the lights. Tom seems to have some really good prices on them if you buy both sets so I think I am going to get me some. I just have a fewe questions for you. How do you like the really purple light of the Stage 2 lights? Do you think you have better visibility with those than with the whiter Stage 1 lights? Do you have any pics yet?

First off, you will not need both sets. They are the same wattage and light ouput and same kit actually. You only need to use one, on the low beam most likely. Another set is just a waste. The bulb base are milled for both 9005 and 9006 bulbs. The base was kinda loose alittle and I notified HID4less and they were more then happy to help me out and solve the problem and send me new ones. But I just fixed it by putting some rubber O-rings in the groove of the base. This worked great as it sealed the light completely. Other then that, it works great. They mount perfectly on the support beam to the outside edge of the headlight.

On the purple lights, they are actually not really purple, they are very clear and natural light with a blue purple hint. They are great. Took my roomates for a ride and they were like holy crap, these things are bright and light up the whole road. I put Wizard plasma bulbs as well in the foglights and they blend OK. The visibility is awesome. Better then any BMW or MB that I have driven or road in. You will see a clear difference. I want to put them in my other car as well.

I do not have pics yet. Been busy doing other mods and work as well. I try sometime soon.

Your welcome :D

I'm planning on running these lights in my '02 Suburban when it comes in. I'll be using the high and low beams along with a relay to have all of the lights on at the same time. Now that will be bright!

Tom, don't know if you will need both. I am installing the headlight over ride from R&D. I thought of doing both like you are saying with all 4 lights on. You probably will not be able to drive anywhere with them on as they will blind people with the highs no matter how low you angle them down. Just my opinion. The lows are great though and light up everything.

I usually have to turn the highs off when cars are coming the other way so it probably won't be to bad. People will think the sun just came up with all 4 lights on! :D
