my Dad gets like 18mpg on his 2000 reg cab 8' bed but I know someone getting about 23 on a 2004 1500 8' bed (granted he drives like Grandma but still that seems higher than usual)?????

I'm getting about 17 mpg around town. I'm pretty easy on the gas pedal.

2003 ECSB with the 5.3L and 3.73 rear end.

I drive about 150 mostly highway miles round trip to work. Running 285/60/18 tires, flowmaster 70 series single 3" exhause, k&n filer, descreened maf, and a Jet programmer running 93 octane. I am getting between 22 and 23mpg depending on AC usage and weather. Most of this is spent with the cruise at 65 to 67.

Before the exhaust, tires, and program I was getting between 20 and 21. I added the exhaust and descreened the maf at the same time and went to 22 to 23. The newer tires/wheels are heavier so I am happy those combined with the Jet programmer was basically a wash and left my mileage the same.

I have my tune ordered from Jesse. Will wait and see how that affects the numbers once it comes in.

Last fillup I got 15 mpg city/hwy driving. This is on a 2000 ext cab 4wd 5.3 3.73 rear end. Since I have added a K&N filter I have seen 1-1.5 mpg increase. I was skeptical but it actually has increased.

04 1/2 ton CC with 5.3 and 3.73's.

I get a consistant 14-15 in town. Only time I have it on the highway for any distance was towing a 3-3.5K pop-up. With the cruise set on 65 I got ~18 mpg.

Today I filled up right by the interstate. Got on and travelled about 30 miles with the cruise set on 65. Got 22 on the way there and 21 on the way back. I am VERY happy with those kind of numbers. Guess slowing down does indeed help.
