Vandals Suck

My town is getting a bad reputation for vandals shooting out glass everywhere and they hit me last night.

I just bought my 2005 Silverado in Sept and some punks shot out the back glass sometime last night.

There is some businesses who have had their front windows shot out so many times that they have given up and just left the plywood up. someone told me that they could not get insurance anylonger because of so many claims.... You know this cost people and insurance companies time and money. I don't know what if anything the poe-leece are doing. I think if you get caught out at night driving around with a pellet gun that should be a trip to jail..I mean what else would you be doing with one in your car at night?

You know that feeling when you get a new vehicle and you keep it spotless and just right and then you notice that first scratch? Well imagine how my heart sank when I found this..

Boy.. I'm really in the dumps over this...

I tell you what I'd do, I'd fix the truck set her in the driveway, and grab a lawn chair. (Night vision goggles optional) Break out the 7mm Mag Savage bolt action with ballistic hollow points, and wait. To hurt someone is one thing, to mess with their truck is a whole new game. Don't get me wrong, I ain't crazy or nothing, Hell, I'm just another normal joe. (who loves to shoot things)

Too bad for youand your truck, that sucks. My sympathies to you and your wallet.

Definitely sucks. They sent me to one of our Southwest streets the other morning because the boys were out shooting a number of cars with a paintball gun. Thankfully the paint was still wet and came right off.

If you're going to be in a lawn chair that close, I'll let you borrow my 1911 .45 ACP. That sucks, man. Good luck with getting her fixed up!

P.S. Did you get my last pm?

2 times, some kids drove thru my old neighborhood knocking mailboxes off.

One night spent in the garage welding... installed new "post" the next morning with a new mail box.

Weeks later, I find my mailbox attacked. Called my friends over to admire the paint chips on a "support" arm that somehow gouged the side of the vehicle. Set like a mousetrap, when the post gets hit, it releases a spring-loaded side arm towards the street.

Mailbox? Not damaged, had a metal bar up on the side to take the blow of the bat.

Couldn't be false triggered, it was set so that it literally takes a lot of force to trigger it!

I love that! I'll bet they were pissed whey they saw the nice gouge along side of the vehicle! At one time, there were some punk kids driving through lawns, so I laid out some 2x4's with 16d nails driven through them. The next morning, I saw the truck a few of blocks away with 4 flat tires! Paybacks are a b#&@%!

 Are they actually shooting out the glass? That is scary stuff. I would almost feel better if they were breaking out the glass the old fashioned way with bats or something. Shooting out indicates that they have guns and could lead to innocent bystanders being his since they are probably doing this in a driveby. :shakehead:

Those kids are so stupid. Who knows if they are using a pellet/BB gun or a small .22 but either way, if they stumble into the wrong person they will get return fire that could be fatal. I just don't understand the mentality of kids like this.

Granted when I was growing up, I did my fair share of causing trouble but never shooting at anyone or their property. :shakehead:

Yup, they are using bb/pellet guns and paintball guns with steel ball bearings

What about water-filled basketballs? And bowling balls from the thrift store cost like $2. Drop one of those suckers out the window going 60...

But that was...Friends...I'd never have done anything like that when I was younger. I'm sure nobody else here did anything like it either.

Sorry about your truck man. :shakehead:

Yeah, I am pretty much over it now, except I am still working with the City Councilman who is interested in upping the fines and getting the parents of the troubled youths to be responsible afterall, they are using mom and dads car after midnight to do this. I had to run the shop-vac about 3 times under the rear seat to get the glass out. Those rear seats don't drop down like they used to, now the bottom of the seat flips up. I know I will be finding small peices of glass for years to come. And when my kids get cut on it, it will rekindle the fires of hatred

The $100 out of pocket deductable was real nice along with the $300 for the fuel pump in the wife's Burb.. This week has been a strain on the wallet.....

but it's just money..I just went in the back yard and picked some fresh twentys this morning... :shakehead:
