But we all know that the Toyota is a "good" vehicle and the Chevy is a "bad" vehicle. If the chevy can go 200,000+ miles I EXPECT the Toy to go over 1,000,000 miles easy, right?

Check my signature. 1988 K5 with almost 270k on original motor before we dropped a cylinder playing in over 2' of snow on the road.

She now has a GM Crate 350. Much better.

I'll take a 350 anyday. My previous truck had 170k and still ran like a charm on it's 350.

Way to go.

while this may be true, at the end of the day - it's still a toyota!

that's like saying a mustang guy saying to a corvette guy that he has tons of money in his car and it's really fast - blah blah blah - to that a corvette guy responds - maybe - but at the end of the day - it's still NOT a corvette! :fume:

Yep, and at the end of the day - Toyota is a BS truck and it's owner is still a Piker :fume:

I know I'm proud of having over 230 grand on my ol' beaters original motor and trans.

I turned 100k yesterday on my 99. I'm hoping it sees 200k. Engine still runs like new (everything else has broken but nothing in the drivetrain)

So why all the negativity about toyota trucks? Yes, they don't produce anything that i would consider full size, but c'mon. The tacoma is hands down the best compact pick-up truck going. The s-10, if they still make it, has been the biggest hunk ever. Don't get me wrong, I have a 04 siverado ext cab 4x4 and really like the truck, but I have owned both a tacoma and a tundra. And after being on their message boards I have never read the problems there, like I do here. Brakes, slip yokes, intermediate steering shafts, electrical switch problems for 4x4, dash lights, heating problems, etc. And to say that toyota is a BS truck, and its owners are pikes, (whatever the hell that is), is BS, I'd say you have issues that need addressing.
