electric brake controller

My truck has factory tow package and it came with the electric brake controller pigtail. But I do not see the brake controller. Obviously it is not included with the tow package. What brand is the best and easiest to install, and is the existing pigtail needed if you buy a brake controller ?

Tekonsha Mfg., easy to install you can either use the GM factory supplied pig tail and cut and splice the wires. OR you can purchase a Tokonsha pigtail that is true plug and play.

Tekonsha Prodigy is the newest Technology, I have a older Voyager (had it now for 6 years) and no problems. I am thinking about upgrading to the Prodigy it is much better.

Here is a Link Tekonsha Home Page

I have the prodigy and used the gm pigtail splicing wires. Piece of cake and works great. Make sure the trailers brakes are functioning and adjusted properly for optimum performance of the braking system.
