Hey, i just bought a wait4 me from jesse and i got it and installed it yesterday. The thing is, that i dont really notice a difference with anything. Is there something that i should have asked for or is it not supposed to have a significant effect. from what i have read in the other posts everyone seems to love it.....any suggestions?

thanks

Got mine last thursday and sent it back monday. Few things were wrong. When I started the truck the tach raced up to about 1800 rpm. Also under WOT 1-2 shift it would not really slip or shift hard but it was kinda of a lazy shift. I had to have a crank relearn done since I bought another pcm which he tunes and i kept my own. That helped out alot. I talked to them and they said either my tune did not take correctly or I had a bad core. I drove it over 200 miles and I noticed a solid 1.5 mpg increase give or take a .5 mpg. That alone is worth it to me and the throttle mushyness was gone, i really love just barely touching the throttle while cruising around town or on the highway. We will see what happens, great people to deal with though.

scubasm161 - Here is a copy of a post I placed in August after I got my tune...

"I've had my tune for a week and a half now and absolutely love it. I just ordered a standard performance tune for 87 octane. I don't have a dyno, but Jesse's claim of 24 rear-wheel horsepower sure is there according to my backside! Also, shifts are much firmer, speedometer recalibrated for tire size, and most importantly 2-2.5 mpg. I have run 3 tanks of gas (went on vacation) and am seeing it consistantly. This is highly recommended and sure to put a smile on your face the first test drive...it did mine!!!"

As you can tell I was extremely impressed and the performance was immediately evident. Jesse is real easy to deal with and I would encourage you to talk to him if you feel you are having problems. I need to send mine back to recalibrate for the new 35's and this time I am going for the all-out 91 octane performance tune! Anyway, maybe this helps

I ordered mine for my 2500HD and asked for more power w/ 87 octane and recalibrate for my tires. After I installed it ran find, and when I went for a test drive I pressed the go pedal and left two shiny black patches on my driveway. This is without mashing the pedal to make it move.

I have plenty of power, no more waiting to pass and acelerate, it made the truck fun to drive again. On the plus side I have seen over a 1.5mpg increase on my normal driving. I took it to Detroit a week ago and had 17.8mpg! Not bad for a BIG truck. I had three people and about 50lbs of merchandise in the truck.

My next big trip is to Bristol in the spring pulling my trailer. I will definately have some feedback on how that trip goes, we did it last year with stock pcm, I am hoping for improvements.

Ive been reading alot obout the significant differences people have had with there trucks, so i figure something must be up with my tune cuz i really do not notice a difference. I have e-mailed jesse and waiting for a response. Seemed to respond alot better when making the purchase but when it comes to an issue with it it seems to take a little longer lol

no no no...........i mean if i were to have it done, while he is do'n his thing my truck is "down". correct?

if so, how long is the turn around on his tunes and how hard is it to find a pcm for the time being to either have hte truck run on or to send to him to be tuned?

thanks!

Three ways to do this:

If you only pay the $80.00 you must send him your PCM so the truck is down while he does the tune and sends it back.

You can also pay a deposit, he ships you a PCM you swap and send yours to him. You get the deposit back when he gets your PCM. Truck is never down but you don't have a spare PCM.

If you spend the $175.00 he will tune a different PCM and send it to you. You just swap them out. Truck is never down, plus you now have a 2nd PCM for dealer visits etc.

Easiest way to get info is just call him direct.

I ordered a new one from him and had it in 4 days. I sent my original and one from another truck at a later date and had them retuned and back in my hands in 5 days from the day i shipped it. Have had nothing but good luck with my gas mileage and hot tune for my 6.0 and also one for a 5.3.
