Help a newbie? please?

i JUST today bought my first vehicle, a 1984 GMC Sierra, um any info on the truck would help me, i know it has a straight 6 in it, but i dont know how many litre it is, or how much oil to put in it, i need the book for it i think, but if anyone can help please do. i also would like to know how i can squeeze a little more horsepower outta it cause its a litte slow accerlating, and what i can do to the rear end to help gain traction, besides changing tires. anyone know what the gearing is? um how i can change the rear end to posi wouldhelp, what oil should i use/plugs should i use, its got 150 000 KM on it, um. and if i replae the plugs should i replace the wires too? i dont know any info will help greatly. thank you.

Save up for a crate engine, or scavenge the bone yards for a 350. I wouldn't ry hopping up the "Blue Flame" isn't that what those inline six's were?

 

Same with the rear end look through salvage yards for one with a posi unit in it.

Ok Thanks, i have all the meens to install the parts it just finding them thats the problem, but i have about 4 junkyards around my house, so thank you i will start looking.
