tire size question

i have a 2000 z71 with a three inch body lift. i am running goodyear 305/70r16 on it now with plenty of room. iwould like to know if anyone has been able to fit 315/75r16 on the same truck. (99-03 sierra z71 w/ 3" body lift).

Do you have those tires on the stock z71 rims? I'd like to go to a tire that wide, but wasn't sure if I could put a tire of that width on the stock z71 rim. If not, what size rim do you have?

yes, i have the tires mounted on the stock 16" GMC rim.

I was thinking about it too. but it sounds pretty risky. even 305 sounds too wide. my 285 have to be below the recomended psi (on the tire) just to get all the treads flat

I'd like to know what you find out
