I am looking for the OEM fog light kit for my '06 Silverado Z71. Do these kits come with a new lower valance panel, which has the cutouts for the fog lights? Who has the best price on these fog lights?

 

Also, who has the best price on the OEM chrome plated nerf bars?

For the fog lights my buddy got his from gmpartsdirect.com for his '06. It is a whole new valance with the lights in them. the part number is 12499673, $189. To have them work like stock its required to reprogram the BCM by your local dealership. We just wired them into the low beams with a relay.

All the info I've read on several forums says 03-06 do not have to be enabled.

GM Accessories Zone has both fog light kit & nerf bars. I bought the fog lights from them I think they wer around $200. they come with the valance,My 05 2500 did not need to be programmed. GM nerf bars are abit pricey,I went with NASTA all stainless for about $350. all brackets and hardwear are sst. And cheeper than GM's

Are NASTA nerf bars made in the USA or elsewhere? Are they good quality bars? I am trying to decide which ones to go with. I saw a set of polished stainless Westin bars, but I do not know if they are better than these Nasta bars.

For the fog light kit also check at your local dealership. I acquired my kit from them at a lower price then anyone else on the net.

 

No programming necessary on 03+.

 

I was about an hours worth of work to get the entire project done in my driveway.

The Nasta bars are made overseas,but most stainless steel is imported,Im a fabricater and im real picky in this area,They are very well made and like I mentioned bars,brackets,bolts,and even washers are stainless.Gm & Westin brackets are carbon steel and will rust if coating is damaged. Got mine at local rhino liner installer. gmgoodwrench.com/accessoriesjsp/home.jsp beat my dealers first price quote on the fog light kit, so I gave them the printout from the web and they went through the accessories zone for best price. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I live on the East Florida coast and everything around here rusts at a very fast pace. Stainless steel hardware and brackets are a big plus.

well, there are lots of vendors selling fog lights. may just depend on how much you want to spend. try ebay or partstrain or other parts stores..
