How do I remove my aux tape deck and use the aux?

Hi,

 

I have a 2000 Yukon XL with factory CD/radio and a slave cassette. I want to remove the cass deck and add sat radio and an ipod interface. The problem is that the cass deck, when a tape is inserted, enables the aux input on the radio. It there a way to bypass this so I can remove the cass deck all together and still use the aux input for a sat radio and Ipod. This radio has the 9-pin wiring harness.
