New Silverado

New guy here. Just took delivery of a 2006 Silverado 3LT, with the 6 liter Vortec Max

 

I love this truck, I hope I made a good choice. I had to sell my trusty 1991 CK 2500 454. This thing is a work horse but with 250,000 miles, it was getting tired.

 

Any suggestions on a better muffler for my new truck? I would like a litter more sound, and performance, but dont want it to be loud.

Welcome, keep us posted as to how the V-max works out for you. It might be in consideration in a few years when I'm ready to replace the Rado.

Thanks for the "welcome" I'll keep posting the results I get from this vehicle.

As for gas milage I have gained 4.5 miles per gallon, and 70 horsepower over the 454.

The new truck weighs 100 lbs less, and the registration is less than the 3/4 ton.

 

So far I have added a Bedrug

Which looks real nice with no tools in it. I have a Jackrabbit bedcover ordered, to protect my tools (I'm a Contractor) .

And I put up this temporary cover to protect it.

 

I can't wait to see what it looks like with my boat behind it. I just had the trailer painted to match.
