Replacing Upper Balljoints - 03 Sierra

Hey guys

I have to replace the drivers side upper balljoint on my 03 Sierra 1500 4x4. Is it pressed in there, or can I just pound it out? I've never done one on a new style truck, on the 98's it was easy. Shed some light please!

I believe it's riveted onto the control arm. The rivets have to be drilled out and the new ball joint will probably have bolts included for attachment. Unless you take it in and have new rivets hammered in. Oh wait, that's the lower one. The uppers are pressed in. Once you have the upper control arm off just have the old one pressed out and new one pressed in.
