Bumper and Bumper Cover questions

Alright, I'm new to the truck scene, and just wanted to get some clarification. I just bought a 2001 Silverado, that needs a new front bumper. The chrome one that's on there is smashed a little bit from hitting a fire hydrant.

I was looking at the streetscene SS Style bumper cover for the truck. Will I also need to buy a new chrome bumper peice to attach the SS bumper cover too, or will it replace the chrome peice altogether?

  I spent a fair amount of time in the 2018-2024 versions. Had two different Equinox and a Terrain as loaners when my Silverado was down (regularly). I actually really liked them. Very comfortable. Efficient. The GMC was a SLT and had a reasonably nice interior too. And I’ve seen a lot of them go high miles with the 1.5. Unfortunately for me I’d have to go 2.0 because the 1.5 is SO SLOW. I know it’s not a performance vehicle anyway but I just can’t drive that much of a dog. The Malibu I had with the same motor wasn’t much peppier. These tiny engines just can’t move these bigger cars very well.

  All injectors are loosing the ground side from the pcm even with all injectors unplugg there is still.no ground pulse on any injector

  Thanks for sharing and we are very similar in our experience. When our truck shut down initially and stranded us by side of road and we got it towed to the dealer, after the weekend the dealer called and said “whats the problem- the truck started right up”. When i told him our experience he said a tech would check it out. Well it was on the tech taking a “test drive” in the truck that the engine actually failed. So the new bulletin is something for folks to watch out for. Regardless, and i think Newdude nailed it, since the engine replacement is under the recall, we get the “up to 150k miles” warranty on the engine. I was hoping for 36months/100k from fail date but it’s up to the 150K and being that we are at 87K miles, we still have 70k+ miles for coverage, so not horrible. At least thats the way i understand it all.
