Sorry its not a better shot. I'll take more later on. This was after a Clay, Polish and Wax.

The truck is a 1994 Silverado RCSB about 2700 away from GMs 200k Mile Club.

I think it is one of the cleanest OBS I've seen around. The interior is equally well kept.

Definitely has that 'just painted' look! How long for the entire process to clay, wax and polish? Did you do it all my hand?

Thanks guys. Yea...did it all by hand. My dad and his wife left to visit family in Oklahoma soo I took the oppertunity for an empty garage and free time.

Here are some new shots I just took.

The clay bar process took about 3 hours. Its the first time I've ever done it so I wasn't gonna half-a*s anyting about it. I wanted the paint as smooth as I coudl get it. I spent plenty of qualtiy time in each area making sure every where is even. I was sure to use plenty of lubricant and go over rougher areas like over the wheel wells twice. I had some oxidation and some light bumps over the wheels and those spots on both sides (drive esp) turned the clay nice and yellow. Even some spots I thought were better spots still turned the clay yellow. Its really amazing how much contaminants are in the air, especially in Houston. I'll probably do it again in 6 months to a year. My truck normally lives out of a garage.

Next came the polish. This is the first time I've ever polished it. I was always under the assupmtion that wax and polish were the same. According to the bottle your supposed to apply the polish and do not allow to dry. Wipe off imediately. This took about another hour and a half with frequent drink breaks (its been really hot in Houston lately)

Lastly came the wax. I used Mothers Carnuba Cleaner Wax. It was fairly easy to apply and remove but also rather time consuming. I spent about 3 hours (again, with frequent drink breaks) doing this step as well.

I have some cat scratches on my hood that unfortunatly did not come off, but I think I'll need a buffer or maybe a wet sand job for that sorta bit. I hate stray cats.

The truck is old and obviously has its flaws, but I think the clay job definatly restored some life in the paint.

Wow....very clean!

and 12 years old....it wouldn't look like that if it were in Canada (too much road salt in the winter time). :nono:

I am in Katy!  Your truck looks great.  New window tint and wheels would really dress it up.

Thanks. Yea...I agree. I really wish my stepfather (previous owner) would have done a better job of taking care of it. He was in an accident several years back and didn't really double check the dealer body work. I'm sure you can tell the frame is bent. Thats the only thing that really bugs me.
