Z71 Shocks

First Post to this board, so bare with me

I have a 2001 Z71, 5800 miles and am having a 3" B/L done on Friday. Also changing the 265's to ProComp 315's.... The question is this- Are the Stock/HD Shocks that come on the Z71 package enough for this setup? They have less than 6K miles on them, but I might as well have them all redone while they have it in the air if it would be worth-while. Second part of this question would be to those who think it would be better to replace..... Which ones? I have read positive comments on this board about the AIS and the Rancho's.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance- Will post some pics when complete;-)

Are you sure you'll fit 315's with only a body lift?

I'm running a 6" suspension with 315's and I still had to trim the lower bumper/spoiler. You will probily have to run stock off-set rims and drive straight. IMHO

The shop that is doing the lift does about 30/month for local dealers etc... He had me bring the truck over and they did some measurements. I just requested the 3" body lift and asked about what size tire I could put on it. It was their recommendation and I know that the ProComps like any tire have a different profile. They are 34.7 high and not the widest in the world..(specs say 12.8).. If there is a problem with rubbing I know they will switch them out. What do you think about the shock situation though?  All comments appreciated...

Dump the shocks

One of the best things i did.  I changed to bilstein HDs (after 21K on the stock Z71 shocks which were crap)

Also check out the rancho 9000s those look like a good one also

UPDATE-

3" Body lifts are on Back Order for this model- So Plan B goes into effect - Rancho 4" Suspension Lift with Rancho Steering Stabilizer. Apparently you can get 5" out of it... Still staying with the 315's (ProComp)... Anyone had one of these installed on their truck? Feedback would be great.  BTW- 2700/installed- Good deal or not? (FYI- told the wife I was just getting BIGGER tires... gotta love it)
