Head Lights Seem Outta Line

Just picked up an '03 Yukon last week. Everything's great except the headlights seem to be outta line. IMO they are pointing down and to the right more than necessary because there's a really hot spot on the pavement and the illumination of the road seems darker than it should.

 

Is there a good DIY to check/adjust the settings?

Probably the best diy way would be to find a level surface to park on and position the front of the vehicle so the lights would be shining on a garage door for example.

my method is during the day, i find the adjustment screws/mechanizm, find the right tool, and wait till dark, go to an unused dark side road or parking lot, and adjust as required.(bring flashlight!)
