Urgent Help Needed

I really need help with the following problem.

 

I was removing the steering wheel from my 04 GMC ENVOY when I accidently pulled the air bag and steering control wires out (They are attached by a tape like wiring harness. Anyways to make thinks short just the wiring harness costs $1200 at the dealer here in Canada.

 

Can anyone suggest a way to get around it?

Can you be a little more specific on exactly what you damaged? Did you damage the coil (sometimes called clockspring) or what.

Yes I unwrapped the clockspring. Is there a fix around it or do you know if a clockspring from any other truck will fit?

There isnt any way around it, its toast. I wouldn't see why one from another envoy would work. As long as you dont damage that one in the process.

If you need to buy a new clockspring, go to gmpartsdirect.com. These clocksprings cost about $ 180 from them. A lot better price than the one quoted you by your dealer.
