I have a 2003 Silverado Z71, which has never given me any problems. I drove it from el paso, tx to orlando, fl and the air worked fine the whole way until about the last 10 miles, when it stopped blowing cold. In the next day or two it started working perfect again. That was back in March, and today I was driving not 5 miles and it was working fine, then it stopped blowing cold again. Is this a faulty relay, or a switch or something. I know how to fix a lot of stuff, but a/c happens not to be one of those things. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I had a similar problems with my Mazda A/C. Do you have electric cooling fan in your truck or a fan clutch?. If either is not functioning, when you slow down, the coolant temperature increases and the A/C shuts down (at least it does on my Mazda). I had a burned out electric fan motor. When you drive at higher speeds, there is sufficient cooling air flowing through the radiator to keep the coolant temperature down, even if the fan or fan clutch is malfucntioning. If you have a malfucntioning electric fan, could be fan motor relay, or motor itself.
