3500 Diff Rear/Front

Hi,

 

I want to put true lockers in a front diff on the 2007 Sierra 3500 Classic.

Anybody knows what diff it actually uses in the front ?

 

and which one in the back ? an 11.5 aam ?

GM 9.25" IFS in the front and 11.5 in the back with any one or more of these options DRW or 8.1 or 6.6.

I know now which lockers to put in . ARB air lockers RD51 and Compressor CKSA12 if someone is interested.

Just curious.... why did you choose an Air locker over an E-locker?

I'm going to put Air lockers in my '07 2500 also, i like them over the E-lockers because the compressor can also be used to inflate tires.

 

Does anyone know if the front diff on the 2500s is too weak to handle stress from the lockers? The dealer said that the diff is just two aluminum plates that would snap if i put a locker in it.
