Hey guys,

I am new here. I just bought a new 06 Silverado LT RCSB 5.3L I love this truck!! I had a 2000 Silverado with the same exterior/interior colors and I loved it. Never had any trouble with it. It is loaded with all the goodies....OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, Sliding rear window, Locking rear differential, 3.73 gears......etc. I only paid $22,600 after my negative equity trade-in for it too. The initial sticker was $29,600. Here are some pics below:

Yeah...I heard that!! My 2000 Silverado had the same tires on it when I bought it. I can't believe they are still using the same dang tires on these trucks. When these wear out, hopefully sooner than later by doing some :ughdance: , I am going to get some Michelins I think. I had some of these on my 2000 and they were very good tires!! I want to go a little wider also. Looking at maybe a 275/60/17. How does that sound?

Actually, my first mod is done. Had the two side windows tinted (20%) to match the factory back sliding glass window tint.

I am also looking into some exhaust mods. I had duals on my 2000 with Flowmaster Original 40's and it sounded real good. Flowmaster doesn't have a dual exhaust catback for the 06 yet according to one of their sales guys. All they have is the dual outlet side exit (Part#17360) with a 50 series muffler. Does anyone have this setup. I could also have a muffler shop do a custom job for me, but I would like to go the catback route, and just unbolt my stock system. Any other suggestions?

Thx Guys!!

PS: I am not getting email notifications when a reply is posted in one of my threads. I checked that my email address was correct, and that "Immediate email notification" was selected. Any ideas?

PS: Nevermind, It's working now....lol.

Sounds like you got a good deal.

As far as the tires go, I'd guess that they will wear out sooner, rather than later. Big chunks of rubber started falling off of mine at under 5,000 miles. I had to fight with the dealer, but they ended up upgrading the tires to a nicer LT tire for $180.

Here's the thread with my tire woes:
