soft shocks

I wouldn't think it would be time to change shocks yet at 24,000 miles. But, sometimes they can go bad, especially if you drive alot on wash board dirt roads.

To tell for sure, go around to each corner of the truck and push down hard on the bumper a couple times, then let go. If the truck bounces excessively, then the shocks may be wore out.

Some decent aftermarket ones would be Monroe Sensa-trac's, they'll be softer than the Monroe Reflex shocks.

I changed mine at around 150k  :driving:

....yea..I'm lazy.

How hard was it to pull the bolts? I know the last time I waited that long to change shocks, the rears were all but welded to the frame... :(

I dunno. I let Discount Tire worry about it. It was hilarious, because I got the truck with over 100k miles so likely as not the shocks were gone when I got it. I didn't really know cause I'd never riddin' in it with good shocks.

When I took to have the front end chekced out the guy came out wiht a smirk on his face. "Man..those shocks look original, felt like a boat when I drove it up on the racks"

I ended up going Monroe Reflex. Great shocks.
