Inner fender skirt?

Winter gets pretty nasty up around these parts, and I notice that on my truck when you look into the wheel well you can see right into the engine bay and in my case the headers. I'd like to keep as much snow/salt off them as I can. I also notice that it looks like there used to be somthing that hangs there, probably a skirt or somthing to keep stuff out of the engine bay. My truck has been lifted (4"body) so I think maybe someone removed them in the process. I can pick up some from a junk yard or somthing, but I need to know what im looking for first. Can anyone tell me exactly whats souposed to be there, if anything at all? It's a 89 Sierra Z71 short wheel base.

ive got a 88 silverado 4x4 SWB . there are rubber shields that screw in place there. Mine were gone so I cut up some old mudflaps to replace them
