Front end noise

Please help!

2003 GM 1500 not 4x4, Front of truck.The loud sound is like a playing card on a bicycle tire or sounds like the tire is rubbing on the plastic wheelwell shroud only duller (not a sharp pitch noise), when the engine is cold only, right turn only, over bumps or railroad tracks, at slow speeds- 3-8 mph. The sound goes away after the engine warms up. We already checked the intermediate steering shaft.

Did you ever find out what was causing your problem? I have a 2002 Z71 making a similar sound.
