Replacing mirrors w/ signal mirrors

Recommended Posts

I want to replace the sideview mirrors with the ones that have signals in it. I have a 2002 Yukon XL Denali. The signal mirrors are from 2004 Yukon XL. I was just wondering what is involved in doing this, i.e. how about wiring, replacing the mirror glass, etc. Also is it possible to have the mirrors position memorized with the seat memory?

Thanks,

Fani

Thanks for the link. I've been thinking of adding these mirrors to my 2002 YukonXL. Doesn't look that hard at all. :troll:

Those are the mirros I put into my truck last year. Very easy to install. If you do run into any questions give me a shout and I will be glad to help.

Have a nice day.

I have an 06 Z71EC. It has heated mirrors, but doesn't have the signals or power folding. Do I need to change the wiring harness to use the signal & folding mirrors?

Just buy the mirrors and plug them into where the stock mirrors are plugged in and they will work, for power fold you have to go to the dealer to get it programed so it will work. You don't need to change the harness or anything unless you have a 1999-2002 Silverado. In 03-06 trucks that come with stock power mirrors you can install the turn signal mirrors with out modifying the wiring.
