I am having an issue with my 2002 yukon denali, I purchased a Xetronics 9005 Low bean HID kit, simple plug and play kit. I connected the correct positive and negative wires to the stock harness for my low beams, I turn on my ignition then turn on the headlights. nothing happens.. The kit says let the bulbs warm up for 5 minutes the first time you install them but nothing happens. Do i have to run a relay for my day time running lights or by pass them? My 25a fuse is big enough to power the HID' and my battery is a normal 12v I can't think of anythign that would inhibit the lights from working. Is there something I hav eto do with teh truck like overide something so my lights can work.

check with a multimeter if you have 12-14.5 DC volts going to the headlights (take headlight out first and just check the + and - connections.. if you dont have a multimeter buy a cheap analog one. you should be able to find one for 10 bucks.

if you have 12-14.5 volts going to the headlights and they still arent turning on then the headlights are junk and are burnt out. if you dont have correct voltage then you have a problem with your wiring or you have blown a fuse.

let me know what happens, ill check this thread again.

and are you fairly competent with electricity or are you in the learning process? I just want to know so that I can help troubleshoot the problem more effectively with you.

Can you explain to me exactly how you wired the lights. Can you test for voltage going TO the ballast and going TO the lightbulbs. THat will tell you where the problem is

Try turning the plug around. The ballast may be wired opposite of your truck. I had to do that with my Silverado. It is a paint to get the plug on the ballast, but it does go on.

I may be mistaken here, butis not the 2002 Denali equipped with HID headlamps (low beaM) from the factory? and if so is it possible you are installing an extra ballast inline to the bulb?

no he 2002 denali does not come stock with HID its just regular 10 9005 bulbs you buy at autozone
