In a 2000 Silverado which relays do I need to connect with a diode to make my fog lights come on everytime my DRLs switch on? Also, how do I make my fog lights stay on with my high beams? Thanks!

are you talking about stock?

with aftermarket fog lights you should be able to just leave them on at the switch (comes with them)

banded part of the diodes should be wrapped around the 85 pin for your driver lights. not sure what the plug name is.

Unbanded side to your 85 pin for fogs.

I tried running a diode between these relays. It didn't work. Why not?

Using fogs & hi beams will reduce your night vision from brightness the same effect as having your dash lights on too bright.

That doesn't even make sense.

I have a 05' Denali XL and I too wanted the 8 light set up after doing some reading here today I finally got it. For what I read 03' and up should be the same. The answer to everything are the "diode" I got my LED DRL's, Fog lights, low + high beam all on at the same time. Also a lot of concern if this was a safe way of doing things and technically it should be because all the diode are doing is just sending a signal to the relay to complete the circuit so as far as OEM harness melting or getting hot it really shouldn't happen if anything the load is on your Alternator of coarse as longest all this light are not running on the same line. So in total I used 3 diodes my DRL's now come on with my parking lights if I choose to turn them on manually.

Just My .02 cents

Is it foggy all the time where you live, as I see no other reason for them to be on all the time blinding people.

what they mean is when dim lights are on, thats all thats on, but when you turn on your brights, the dims and fogs stay on, gives you much more light, should be that way from the factory actually, just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions, lol
