Firewall?

there a boot near the steering shaft that i run all my wires thru. if you push the boot out you can put a long screwdriver thru there and push your wires thru.

A better location would be just left of the brake linkage where a clutch linkage would run thru the firewall if it were a manual trans. If you crawl in and look you can see a piece of black plastic that is sorta circular in shape. Pull it out of your way and you can drill a hole there w/o worrying about hitting anything under the hood. You can then install a grommet made for the 4ga wire and not have to worry about any mositure entering your truck or vibration causing you any problems down the road.

I drilled hole for 4GA wire on drivers side of firewall behind the master cylinder. About two inches to the left (closer to center of vehicle) of main wire boot. Make sure to use 4 GA plasic grommet.
