I was kind of like you, this told you a whole lot about nothing.

I did go to the website yesterday and there was a tab entitled "features" I believe that offered more info. Looks like a neat idea and it will do more than my Interceptor, I just do not like the appearance as well as the Interceptor.

I looked at the listed Parameters and didn' see tranny temp jumping out at me.

Anyone have one of these yet? I've been considering one of these units. I've been checking out:

Aeroforce Interceptor

Scangauge2

DashHawk

According to the MSD web-site it does not list transmission temperature as one of the parameters displayed on GM vehicles nor does the Scangauge2. I tow so I'm definitely interested in tranny temperature. So far the only one that does this for definite is the Aeroforce Interceptor, but I kind of like the other two better because:

1) no additional power source required

2) easily movable from one vehicle to another

3) a rectangular gauge would be easier to mount (IMO)

Are there any other gauges out there?

The PC interface with the DashHawk is a nice feature. I hear Scangauge2 is working on a USB interface.

I have an Aeroforce Interceptor on my truck, mounted on the pillar by the window.

Easy to read while driving. I have it configured to show speed and tranny temp, but it's easily changed to other things.

And the 1/4mile time feature is fun to place with.

It does have one problem though....every now and then the screen goes black with a solid yellow line. I unplug it from the OBDII connector and re-plug and it's fine again for a while. I called the company...so they send it back for their analysis and perhaps they'll send me another one if they find something. That didn't impress me. To send it back to the US, wait 4-6 weeks for them to play with it, then send it back and pay the UPS brokerage fee again.....buyer beware.

OK, looks like the latest software version for the DashHawk does monitor tranny temp including a number of additional features not listed on the DashHawk web-site.

Not sure it will work in my vehicle though. The vehicle needs to be Controller Area Network compatible. Any way to tell from the VIN?

I really like the DashHawk.

Looks like I'm SOL. My 2006 Sierra is not CAN compatible. Too bad, looked like a really nice gauge.

Looks like the Aeroforce Interceptor is the only one with the transmission temperature gauge that will work.
