Classic dash with Heated Leather seats?

Again, at the car show today and sitting in the new GM trucks. Prefer the classic dash over the one that comes in the SUV's. Looking over the GM site and see that you can only get the Reclining, heated, Custom Leather-appointed front bucket seats with the LTZ option...that comes with the SUV style dash.

Any way around this? Love the heated seats in my 04 and would like them in any new truck I get (someday).

Good luck,

in 2003 you couldn't even get adjustable lumbar support without getting leather seats.

I'm okay with the leather seats (have them in the 04). They do offer leather seats with the "pure pickup" dash. but they aren't heated and don't have lumbar power adjust.

I guess if I really wanted the heated multi-power seats I could just open up the checkbook...and do it myself. Would be easier to order from factory.

Um in a word NO!!!

I've been asking lots of questions about these trucks since they came out.That was one of them.Dealership has an SLE with leather and that's the 1st thing I noticed,no heated seats.

Sales manager finally dug deep into his computer and ordering info for the new 07's.

He came back with that answer to me.

Seems really silly to be able to get leather seats in an SLE but they can't be heated.Who in their right mind would want leather seats without heat,especially up north here!!!

One more way for GM to force you to an SLT I guess!

Trust me, I use my truck as a truck a lot. This is the first truck I've had with leather. Kiddos spill food on the cloth seats and it's a mess...ground in...stains...etc. Spill on leather and it wipes right off. Heated seats are great when I'm cold and wet after sitting in the blind all day.

No, I don't pull trailer, haul stuff around town all day. But I do play hard. Brother asked me why I got the Big Block when I don't pull anything significant...my only reply was "because I can."

Probably more than most.

Let's see it pulls the trailer,hauls the dirt bike,hunting,ice fishing, 4x4ing,garbage hauling......yeah it just drives around town.

Oh and the golden retriever that loves to swim and get dirty!!!

Leather is easier to keep clean plain and simply!!!!

And having heated seats up here(Canada) in the winter sure is nice on the back!

I just ordered my truck two weeks ago, you can not get heated seats w/ the classic dash.

I originally spec'd out a LT2 package w/ leather seats, but my woman really likes heated seats, so I abliged her and went w/ the LTZ. It was only 150$ more anyway...

I wll say this though, I like the look of the classic dash, but i like the functionality of the ltz dash.

My sentiments exactly. Boo Hoo, no heated leather seats. Two years from now it's going to be boo hoo, no leather wrapped heated and cooled steering wheel! And then no automatic retractable running boards! Truck is a truck and not a limousine. I never had heated seats in any vehicle I have ever owned and I am doing just fine.

Yes, but I am not a native Floridian. I lived in New Jersey, Texas, West Virginia, and Northern Alabama before. And never had heated seats. And I am still alive.

Growing up we never had any air conditioning in cars, trucks, or home. I survived just fine. Do I want to keep that lifestyle now? HELL NO!

I hate that if you want a regular cab you get no options... Not even leather. I'd like to have a regular cab LTZ, but not an option. I will not buy and extended or crew cab to get it either, I'll keep what I got, or find a used one that I can put the things I want in it aftermarket. It doesn't mak any sense why you can't put the dash you want in the truck. It makes no difference to the guy sticking it in there. What's the point in having all these dash styles if you still can't get the one you like.

The reason why they do not offer a regular cab with all the options is simple: not enough demand! Same type of argument one can have with the manual transmission not being offered in a fully loaded crew cab.
