Updates at Chevrolet.com

Thought some of you might want to know that Chevrolet.com has recently updated to include much more information about the 2007 HD trucks...

According to their stats they are not going to offer 4.10 gearing, only 3.73 in any of the HD trucks. And the Dually 6.0 engine is only rated at 312 HP, seems like towing might be a bit rough with the new gas motor.

The chart does say "Required Axle Ratio"

This may be their way of saying that no matter if you opt for the 4.10 or the 3.73 axle - your max GCWR is going to be 18,500 pounds (on gas motors)...

This would seem to be supported by the fact that 18,500 pounds (again on the 6.0L) is the max number for all cab configurations, both 2WD and 4WD alike.

BTW, in case anyone is interested but does not want to look it up, the GCWR on all 6.6L Duramax models is stated at 22,000 pounds.
