How do I take bed off?

Not if you get lucky

It's been said that if you leave the bolts in one side of the bed -just loosen them- and tilt the bed to one side instead of removing it...That it may be easier to line it back up.

How do I take my bed off and what else do I have to disconnect/cover when I do it?? I gotta throw a new fuel pump in my truck it's a 99 sierra

Ya I changed my fuel pump. I removed the bolts holding the filler neck on. Unpluged the main harness from the bumper.(two plug ins) and removed the eight bolts holding on my bed. I have a 2000 Silverado 2500 with a 6.0. Lining the bed up was real easy. You could tell where the bed has set previously judging by the dirt and markings under neath.

How high do you have to raise the bed to get to get enough room to pull the pump ?
