Interior Noise

My crew cab has not had a problem until recently. But it sounds like the driver side rear door is not closed all the way. Rattles and things like this drive me nuts and I can't figure out why it started doing this. Has anyone else had problems like this in the past? The door closes all the way and the weatherstripping is fine. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Two things come to mind...

1) Did you just put a bug deflector on your truck? Bug deflectors cause all kinds of strange noises due to the change in the airflow.

2) On the back of your cab between the bed and the rear of the cab there are two rubber pressure relief gizmos (for lack of better words). These things allow the truck to breathe when you slam the door and will release the pressure that builds up in the cab. Maybe one is stuck or bad?

I've got a new 07 Chevy Ext that has a shake and rattle coming from the right rear ext door. It too is driving me nuts so i did some tinkering with the doors. 1st i closed them harder , no difference. Then tried to pull on them to see if they would make the same type of noise, no difference. Then i took the right rear seatbelt and buckled it up. Believe it or not the noise is gone. I'm assumeing the problem is in the upper seatbelt houseing. So far so good

1) Have not installed a bug deflector but I do have the window vents (not new though).

2) I never thought of that.....but I will check. Does the door (or whatever) stick open?

The seatbelt thing that silverado1002 brought is a good possibillity too... I had an anoying buzz/rattle in my Crewcab, and it was actually the seatbelt buckle rattling against the piller. It look OK to the eyeball, but it was the culprit. I blame it on the kids... everything that i find wrong with my truck in the backseat either has their fingerprints or footprints all over it!!!
