I actually thought what you did about the 99 - 06 models. Thought they looked like hell IMO. Also, all those quotes were for the GMT-800.

Most writers are calling the GMT-900 the greatest success in truck design since the mid 90's.

I happen to agree.

Really though, are you saying Ford looks better like the video implies?

I like the new trucks except for the front bumper. My wife has a 07 Avalanche and it looks much better in the front.

In my opinion these are the nicest trucks GM has released since 2002. Very good looking refined truck that looks like a truck.

And I would have to say that the video was made by a Ford guy; "why is Ford doing just fine?" since when has Fod been doing any better then GM.

I don't see much of a change myself. The front is ever so slightly different, but the basic layout is still the same. The fenders have a very small flare to them--just enough to show a difference, but certainly not radical. The new dash is a bit flashier. Some guys like that. I happen to prefer the old dash for reasons no one else cares about (plenty of space for radios). But still, both 800 and 900 are decidedly Chevy and nowhere near the bull-nosed, in your face Fords and Dodges. Besides, when you really get down to it, it's stuff like durability that counts. Compare Ford's diesel to the LBZ, for example. All in all, when it comes to looks, it's subjective. Everyone gets a vote. If you don't like it, I respect that. Bottom line is I wish all American manufacturers well in the marketplace.

I like the 99-02 HD's and 1500's...and these new trucks are nice. I drove a 1500 crew Z71 5.3 4wd yesterday and can't wait til they start orders for 08's.

So what. There is a reason why the 88-98 GM trucks are the best selling fullsize trucks. Ever.

Besides. The guy who did that video is a tool. The picture of the 90 had a 94-98 grill. Not to mention that his Car and Driver quote was wrong. I have the magazine in my lap as we speak, and they had nothing buy praise for the new GMs.

When the F-150 was re-designed I thought it was OK. I think the front of my '04 Chevy is probably the best looking truck ever. Those heavy duty Fords in the video and the ugliest trucks I've ever seen. What does not look right to me about the new Chevy design is the front looks wider than the rear on the pick-ups. The new look is good on the SUVs. Truth be told looks are not the problem in the industry, quality is. My '04 has had so much warranty work that I can't see GM making a profit. My last new Ford product needed the engine replaced before 3500 miles. I doubt Ford made money on that car.

I agree with Savage420 with a passion :D , but '06 and under? :D Don't discount the '07 Classic. :D

I dont really like them a lot....anything above the year 87 is kinda crappy IMO...but everything grows on you...and the more and more I look at the new trucks the more I like them...give it a little while man...I hated them too at first.

I have to say that it is a well put together slideshow. I also happen to agree with the person. Not about any trucks being ugly or anything, but why so much change..........?

With so much change it just costs more money all around. More money for development, costing us. More money for aftermarket suppliers to make new accessories, costing us. Lower resale for the "outdated" models.

As for the Ferds, i didn't see any interior pics. This is their biggest downfall, aside from their crappy motors.
