I took these pics several years ago at Pismo Beach. This creek is almost impassable at high tide unless you have at least 8" of lift & 38's. These clueless "tourists" found that out the hard way:shocked:. Enjoy.

Cool, I live in Pismo Beach. I remember when a Ranger was flipped on its side and completely barried in the sand. Where do you live S-10?

Yes, it basically is the ocean, but where people get stuck is where a creek from inland runs out to the Pacific. I hear there's over 100 vehicles still buried under the sand/water at Pismo:shocked:

How in the #### do you get yourself into that situation with an Astro? I could maybe see it with a guy in a big truck trying to be a hotshot, but the family minivan?

Sadly, people who get stuck going through the creek are deliberately told it's "OK" to go through and "they'll be able to make it, no problem." Of course people who haven't been there before or have no clue, will try it. I don't know why they even tried it. You can see how far they had to go, and how deep it was. It's funny when it's only like 2 1/2' deep. Fools will just hit the creek going like 20MPH and end up stalling out the motor in the middle. That's when they have their friend pull them out or pay the park's towing service an outrageous amount to yank em to land.
