Tires

well i called my local goodyear yest. and told them to go ahead and give me some new tires i have 52k on my stock bridgestones and havent been that happy. i have chose the goodyear wrangler silent armor, is this a good choice he said he owns them and there solid tires. i looked at the tread design and they look agressive although he said theree nice and quiet on the highway. im getting them done for $788 which was about the best price i could find around without the internet im not concerned about how much i paid because the owner is a family friend and is going through some tough times. it will be good to get new rubber put on in the mean time i can still change my mind let me know what you think about them. o yea i have owned michelin LTX M/S before and liked them but they were a little to spendy this time around.

Check tirerack.com for reviews on the silent armour. They are kind of new, so there aren't as many reviews around like the other popular ATs. The guy at my local Discount Tire shop had good things to say about them. What kind of Bridgestones are you replacing? I've heard great things about the Bridgestone Dualers and was thinking about replacing my stocker 245 rubber with some 265 Dualers when when the time comes.

When it was time to replace the OE tires on my Yukon XL I came down to 2 choices. The GDY silent arm and the Bridgestone Dueller HL Alenza. I ended up with the Bridgestone but both were top ranked with Tire Rack. They made my Yukon seen new again and are so much better than the Fir Wilderness LE s that I replaced. Of course a good recap would hav been better than those noisy Wilderness LE s.

I went with the Bridgestone Dueler Revo ATs on my 2004 Silverado 1500.

I frickin' love them. Made me feel like the truck was new again.

Great handling in every weather condition I've been seen in Michigan.

Added a little noise over the crappy stock tires, but not enough to be annoying.

I just ordered a Pair of 265 Revo's friday and the shop is gonna throw them on tomorrow, I'm paying 600 bucks for the 4 of them (CAD) but I used to work for NAPA so I know all the shop guys... I'll let you know how they work, It's been raining so the back roads are all muddy and fun, we'll see how much better they handle...

Honest to god, Dayton Timberline HT. I have to tell you, they are cheap and they run real nice. Also, they do pretty well in the rain. However, I will probably try Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenzas next time around just to see if they are as good as I think they might be (BTW, I drive only on roads, never off road).

Not sure if they're available everywhere, but the Jetzon Revenger A/T is a good tire for the money. I put a set of LT 265s on my 1997 K1500 ext cab / short bed replacing LT 285 BFG A/T's. They have decent mud, wet, and snow performance. I think I paid $115 each out the door at a local tire place here in PA.

I have those exact tires...and I paid over $900 when Goodyear was on strike.

I love them. Then handle off road wonderfully, and on road quietly. I did notice a slight drop in gas mileage though. I don't know if it was because of a larger wheel size having tread and all, or a higher rolling resistance rating shifting from a road BFG to an off road tire.

Once again though, they are definitely worth it.

Well I got the tires today, havn't driven them much, but so far much nicer tan my old mismatched worn out tires...

The 265's really fill the front up, but I did some circles and theres no rubbing, They're a Mean looking tire, and quiet on the road as well, I went out of my way to drive through the ditch and a field on the way home and they seem nice and grippy... So far I have no complaints, and would recommend them.
