Some More Pics...

Here are some pictures of my 2007 Silverado. It's about a month old but I haven't had time to get pics uploaded and everything, so here they are. I've also got some questions. The gold bowtie on the tailgate...can it be removed just like all of the other badges? I was also wondering if the 2007 tahoe/suburban wheels will fit on a silverado. I'm talking about the 5-spoke wheels, I think they look a lot better and simpler than the Z71 wheels.

What I ordered...

2007 Black Silverado LT2

Z71 Package

Crew Cab

Chrome door handles, mirror caps, grille

side air bags

What I've added...

Flowmaster 40 series w/ drop exhuast

Black bowtie

What I will add soon...

Rhino bed liner

Nice truck.

As far as the badges go...I removed all mine as well on my 07 Tahoe. The Bowtie emblem actually had two pins sticking out of it. I'm looking to paint it now. Tint that those front windows.

Nice truck, fellow Texan. :banghead:

Where did you get the black bowtie for the front? I want one!

I'd also like to know if the rear bowtie comes off without any holes. Where did you get your grill? There are so many on E-bay to choose from.

As for your wheels, I do like the OEM 20" wheels that the "Texas Edition" Silverado / Sierras are coming with (They may be the same as other 20" OEM GM wheels elsewhere in the country, not sure). I'm shopping around for some like-new 18" wheels like yours or some 20" OEM Silverado wheels as either would be a step up from my 17" Chrome LS wheels

My grill is the factory one from GM. It's the chrome package grille. I actually think I like the chrome billet grille better, but for now I'll keep mine. As for the bowtie, it sounds kinda cheap but I actually used electrical tape and made it fit perfect over the emblem. The only covers I could find left a ring of gold around the outside and I didn't want that so I kinda made my own with tape. Later I will probably get it painted, but right now you can't even tell I taped over it.

bbb, thanks for the info. I think I'm going to take mine off this weekend. I just don't like how the gold emblems look with all of the chrome. I think I'll just use the same method ppl use to take all of the other badges off.

Looks normal after its gone...it was warm outside and i just popped it off with a small prybar using my hand as leverage/protection.

That black is sharp on that truck, looks real nice. I think removing the bowtie from the would look better, they look goofy with that giant emblem on the back.

How did you get the chrome grille inserts AND the chrome surround? All the info in the accessories catalog shows that when you get the chrome inserts the surround is body-colored like this:

At first I actually wanted and ordered the grill with the black around the chrome inserts but when it arrived my dealer told me that it was not possible and that the silverado catalogue was inaccurate. As more trucks came out I saw several with the black grill and the chrome insert so I went in a talked to my dealer but they still insisted that it was not possible. Finally I printed off some pics and showed them to them and they realized it was possible but didn't know what option that was. I've been looking at some of the new ones with the black and chrome gill but I've decided I like my all-chrome better and decided to keep it the way I got it. As for how I got it, I just ordered the chrome grille and that is how it came from the factory.

Anyone know how you go about adding fog lights to a NBS 07 bumper without the cut-outs? My bumper is painted on the sides, with the chrome part in the middle (Like ryandman89's), but no holes cut-out for the fogs. I assume it's a bumper replacement. *Head spinning with amount of options to customize front-end* :banghead:
