Custom Towing Mirrors

I had a heck of a time finding custom slip-on towing mirror for the NBS trucks. If anyone else is looking for them, I found them on the website below:

Local auto store was $45 each to order, so I went with this website. My order total was $83 with 3-day shipping.

 

My truck will hopefully be here early later this week or early next week, and I'll be towing with it soon after that once I get ~500 miles on it.

when I ordered from there they said they "weren't made" yet and would ship them

when they come in which should be in the next month or so.

 

when did you order your truck and what is it?

I ordered 3 weeks ago and cant wait.

Seamonster, I just ordered the mirrors yesterday, so I haven't heard that they aren't made yet. You'd think that should be on their site if that's the case. When did you order your mirrors? Did they email you with that information. I just realized I didn't put my email address in when I ordered them.

 

Truck I ordered is GMC Sierra SLE1 in deep blue metallic paint / ebony cloth with options below. It's been 8 weeks since I ordered this week, and I will hopefully be in in next week or so. Can't wait!

You'll need to create an account and then upload your pic(s). Once that is done, view the info on the pic(s) and paste the URL into the field that pops up for adding an image. You can also ZIP all of your pics together and upload the entire folder at once rather than doing it one at a time.

Had a message at home with similar info. I called and they said CIPA is just making them now, and they should be shipping out from CIPA in next few days. It may be a couple weeks till they get to us.

 

I'm surprised CIPA is just making them now given they're the same mirrors as Tahoe/Yukon which have been out for quite a while.

I agree. About 5 years ago, I purchased some Cipa slip-on towing mirrors for my 2000 Sierra. I couldn't stand them, having 2 mirror surfaces was irritating as h-e-l-l, almost like double vision. Maybe after time I would have gotten used to it? But I sold them on ebay. I don't really need them anyway. Anyway, if I ever needed towing mirrors, I would get the telescoping towing mirrors from the factory. Just my .02

I really don't care for the look of the new gm factory towing mirrors, particularly on a half ton truck. Given I'll be towing with it <10% of the time, I decided to go with the add-ons. We'll see what happens after a few tows...

 

Any opinions if the CIPA Universal Towing mirros are better than the Custom slip-ons?

I dont like the factory towing mirrors either. I was trying to decide if I wanted them so I went and

looked at one that had them. I didnt really like them and then the wife said.

Get whatever you want but not those mirrors.

Dont care about color,engine, gear ratio, nothing just dont get those "dumbo ears"
