Blown Trans

Just blew my trans in my 92 yukon. I think its a 4l60e but not sure. Anybody know or have any ideas. and if it is possible to stick a th300 or 400 in my yukon without changing around the rest of the drivetrain?

700r4 or 4l60e pretty sure its the 4l60e But I dont know what year they changed the name

I had a 700r4 in my 82 vette which I blew up twice, Drove like nut,

I had a 87 blazer which had the 700r4 removed for a 350trans due to the 38 inch tires

 

?? is that the original transmission in the 92? if so it lasted pretty good

Actually, I think you have the 700R4. They starting using the 4L60E in 1993.

You could probably replace it easily with a 4l60e instead of a junkyard or refurbished 700r4.
