Bridgestone Dueler A/t Rh-s

So I have a 2004 GMC Crew Z71. Most of the expected use of this truck, is pavement. It will see snow and mud sometimes, just not as often as the truck is capable.

I need to replace my nice Michelins, came with the Denali, good highway tread tires, because one of the back tires, has 4 nails in it, including two in the sidewall! :):chevrolet: How I managed that, I don't know ...

My front tires probably havce 15K left on them, and the used back tires that I threw on them (was leaving for a 1400 miles round trip that day, so I needed something) have probably 5-10K left on them. New tires are expensive, so I look at local deals and found something ...

This guy wants $300 for 4 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S and this inlcudes 4 2007 GMC Sierra Alloys. I don't want the alloys at all, (I like my Denali chrome rims :D ). O, and the tires only have about 2K on them.

Question: Are these good tires? His are the raised white letters, can I just reverse them so that I have blackwall showing? Or are these a directional tire?

Thanks!

Anthony

Second question, if I run these, will that effect my gas mileage at all?

Thanks!

I'm running the same tire but on 16's and I have to say I'm loving them. They're quiet on the pavement and handle well in the rain. I've taken them down a mud road a couple times and they grip relatively well, considering I've only got 2wd... Considering I paid 600$ for 265/70/16's without rims I'd say thats a good deal.

As for the gas mileage, a bigger tire will casue a slight decrease in gas mileage I suppose, but its nothing I've found to be noticable... It will also throw out your speedo a bit, but only by i think 2mph at 60...

Hope this helps,

Jon

Oh, and you can put them blackwall out...

Thanks for the info! Guess, I am going to pick them up. I can sell the rims off afterwards, as I have no need for them.

These are actually the same size as my current tires, 265/70/17. I wasn't worried about the speedo being off or any of that, just wondering if the more agressive tire will eat up more gas.
