Ice Clay Bar

I used it a week or so ago, just getting the chance to write about it now.

I had some sap on the hood of the truck and some marks on the doors, looked to be tree branch scratches. I don't know as I just bought the truck used a couple months ago. So I decided to try the liquid clay bar, expensive stuff but not as bad as buying an actual clay bar. Its pretty easy to use, just like washing the vehicle actually. It applies like soap with the included sponge. You have to keep shaking it during use as the sediment settles out quickly but other than that it is pretty easy to use.

Well after the truck was all washed and dried I looked for the sap on the hood and there was no sign of it. Even the scratch marks on the doors were almost totally faded out. I wouldn't use it as a replacement of a real clay bar, but it does work really well. Plus I only used about 1/8 of the bottle. it may be expensive but you don't seem to need a whole bunch of it.

I'll Give it an 8.5 as it doesn't totally rid your paint of swirls and scratches like it promises, but does a great job on removing contaminants.

Good to hear, as I just bought a bottle to do my truck (1998 GMC Sierra 1500) when I pick it up on Wednesday. I got the ice wax too because of great reviews I have heard on it.

No worries about the jackin.

I haven't used the paste before, just the liquid. Its pretty easy to use too, but it looks like your spreading tire shine on your paint. It comes off easily and leaves a good shine though.

Ice polish is awesome, heard alot of mixed reveiws on the clay though. Alot of people say its a bitch to get off and leaves a residue. Ill stick to regular clay bars.

It worked well for me, but you have to use a lot of water and wipe it dry right away. I worked in sections and dried each one as I finished. Than gave it a final rinse and dried the whole truck...My arms hurt by the end of the two coats of wax let me tell you.

But yeah...the polish is awesome stuff. I would use it again.

Yeah the polish is OK but not impressed with the clay bar.

I did a side by side comparison with the mothers clay bar and I ended up hating the Ice one.

Sorry it just doesnt work as good, didnt remove as much as the mothers IMO.
