Tinted Taillights

Just tinted my tails slightly....Pics can be seen at:

Opinions? I didn't want to go too dark and then be worried about the cops giving me a hard time....

Scuffed them lightly, then sprayed them with several light coats of VHT Niteshades. Then lots of time wetsanding and clearing to get the deep glossy look so it almost looks like they came like that from the factory. This way if I do get pulled over, it doesn't look like I sprayed something on them. There's lots of clear on there, so I'll probably wetsand and polish a little more.....

I'd just be worried about a typical driver blasting me in the A$$ at a stop light. I'm not going to take away any chance of being seen... but it sure does look good.

Looks good, but brake lights aren't something I am particularly interested in hiding.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if you got rear ended and the insurance company fights not to pay your claim, based on "Our driver could not see the brake lights, which were modified and no longer D.O.T. compliant..."
