Having problem with a water running sound under the dashboard, and when you accelerate, the noise gets faster until at top rpm's then noise goes away. mostly occurs in the morining. any help would greatly be appreciated. This is on a 2001 chevy silverado 1500 v-6.

I have your answer! My 2001 Silverado did that after I flushed and refilled the coolant. Apparently there was an air bubble in the heater core that took some time (and topping off my reservior) to go away. It did eventually go away though.

Are you noticing any loss of coolant? Those 4.3 trucks had a nasty habit of leaky intake gaskets. I'd sure watch it.

just make sure there are no air bubbles, make sure that your coolant is topped off... otherwise if there is still a noise, then the heater core may be partially clogged and water is just barely getting thru, you could try blowing it out with compressed air or you will need to replace it...

Had the same issue on my 99, noise on accel, then would go quiet after it hit the shift point.

Mine was a freaky gurgling noise that increased with engine (water pump) rpm. It did eventually work its way out and never happened again. I didn't know what the heck it was at first.

My 2004 4.8 Silverado has that "gurgling" noise. Not always there but often enough to be bothersome.

I hear it easily. Every time I took the truck in for warranty service, at three different local dealers, I ALWAYS got the same response...."We can't replicate." Over and over. Along with other defects.... "We can't replicate."

Lousy dealer warranty service.

No more GM/Chevy products for me.
