Dic Fuel Consumption

My DIC consistently registers (almost exactly) 1 gal less fuel used than I fill at the pump. Consistently fill till the tank till the nozzle clicks.

 

SUbsequently, the reported DIC MPG is reported as being a little higher than reality.

 

NOT a big deal, just a curiosity on my part. What gives. Is it possible that the 20" wheels (factory) have thrown the pooter off, and a software flash would fix?

Mine does the same thing. Though, it always wasn't like that.

mine is right on every time. I have 20 s and they did re flash pooter for them.

interesting... sounds like it can be flashed. I had called my (small town, otherwise excellent) GMC dealer, and the service guy didn't seem to think the DIC could be updated.

 

I guess I'll call a larger GMC dealer in the area and see what they can say.
