Gmc All Terrain Console

I really like the all aluminum look on the center console and dash of the All Terrain. Does anyone know if those parts are available through GM yet? I thought about going with the one for the Denali, but the aluminum just seems to look better.

Yes they are. I had a 2007 Avalanche LTZ that came with way too much burl walnut trim so I decided to look into parts as I loved the look of the Z71 Avalanche which had all the brushed aluminum trim. This is what I ordered for my 2007 Avalanche and fit-up/swap out was a breeze. I ordered the parts from GMPartsDirect.com

The parts listed below are for a 2007 NBS Avalanche, but all should work for the Silverado/Sierra. I actually double checked the part number for the center bezel for the Silverado/Sierra and the part number is the same as what is listed below.

15211885 (Brushed Aluminum Center Bezel which goes around radio / HVAC controls) $49.63

15217581 (Brushed Aluminum RHS Door Switch Bezel) $31.37

15217586 (Brushed Aluminum LHS Door w/power folding mirrors Switch Bezel) $29.59

15920647 (Brushed Aluminum LHS Door w/o power folding mirros Switch Bezel) $29.59

15217598 (Brushed Aluminum RHS Rear Door Switch Bezel) $27.45

15217595 (Brushed Aluminum LHS Rear Door Switch Bezel) $27.45

15870227 (Brushed Aluminum Long Dash Plate which includes center vents and RHS vent for trucks w/o DIC) $62.33

15870240 (Brushed Aluminum LHS Vent) $37.44

Removal requires a knife or very thin screwdriver blade and some patience as the center bezel plate is one piece and has 9 metal clips behind it. Start in the middle on either side and work your way around. The door switch covers are easier to remove. Once you pry them free (two metal clips each) you need a T-15 torx bit to unscrew the switch hardware from the bezel.

Once I got into it, I swapped out the door switch bezels and the center bezel and liked the way it looked. The remaining burl walnut trim between the vents on the dash and to either side of the instrument cluster was acceptible to me. I also didn't want to try and remove the long trim piece between as the brushed aluminum replacement part I ordered had a ton of the metal clips behind it and it wasn't too thick to begin with.

Also, one more thing is that the brushed aluminum is actually not aluminum. It's plastic painted like brushed aluminum, but it looks darn good to me.

This is what I started with...

This is the Z71 look I desired.

The picture attachment is what I ended up with. I also ripped out the ridiculous burl walnut center console that had the covered cup holders and covered storage tray and replaced it with the cupholder console shown in the Z71 picture. The console part number is 15855168 which includes the tray, the rubber mat, and the cupholders.

Hope this helps!
