I was fooling around at www.chevrolet.com with the build and price. I was gonna build my truck, and print it out. Well it seems that the Conv. Pak (remote start, dual air, fogs, steering wheel radio controls) isn't available..........

anyone know if its gone??

Wow, Chevy really screwed this up! From the looks of it, you have to go all the way up to LTZ in order to get options like remote start and steering wheel controls.

There are a lot of people, like me, who don't care to have all of the bells and whistles but do like our steering wheel controls. Glad I got the LT1 convenience pack while I could.

This is a poor move by Chevy, IMO.

Edit: just looked closer and you do get steering wheel controls with the LT2 package but you do not get remote start. This makes it a little easier to swallow....I could live without remote start.

It looks like the convenience package is still available on Extended and Crew Cabs in the Standard and Optional features on Chevrolet.com. The build and price must be inaccurate on their site because it doesn't have the option for an '07 either. They also do not have the 3.73 rear end listed. This year they added the package to be available on the avalanche, too. If you go to kbb.com and build it there, they list it as being available.

Trust me,As someone who helps order trucks here at the dealership,You CANNOT go by Chevrolet's website to spec out a car or truck,It is so inaccurate.

The "1LT" package is still available,Its RPO code "PDD",Its available on Reg.,Ext.,and Crew-Cabs,It includes remote start, steering wheel audio controls, fog lamps, and on Ext. or Crew-Cabs it also includes dual-zone automatic climate controls.

We go into GM-DealerWorld to spec-out and order vehicles.

I was messing around building a WT and when I added cruise control it also added steering wheel audio controls. Does that make them standard if you have cc?

I have Cruise control but not steering wheel controls, so no, probably just a weird package thing.

No,Also if you order cruise control on a WT it does not include steering wheel audio controls.

You cannot get the convience package or steering wheel audio controls on a WT model.

I guess I missed it Rich, I was in Dealerworld fiddling with the options and what not, All of the options, specs so on, I guess I missed it. Oh well, so much for navigating DealerWorld (I hate using it, too many things crammed together at this point). I work for Cadillac and Hummer's DVM Field Assistance Team (Not too much longer though) and I dont use DealerWorld as much as other applications (BARS, Mainframe and so forth), by the way Rich, do you actually call DBC if something is down or do you fix it yourself?
