The sad part is ...they will sell like crazy around here in Southern California...it doesn't matter how UGLY. Put a Toyota badge on anything and it sells. Soccer moms will eat this up. Hopefully their kids can some sense into their brainless parents.

Toyota finally jumps into the fullsize truck/suv segment, with really large vehicles just in time for $4 gas.......

 

I know the tundra/sequoia have been around a while, but they just didn't seem full size, little v-8 etc.

The styling is too plain jane. It will, however, appeal to a certain segment of overweight soccer moms who voted for Clinton.

 

It looks like it was thrown together with a new Tundra face, and an old Fourrunner rear. It is pretty bad.

I typically am objective when evaluating a vehicle (the wife's car is a VW, not a GM) but there is no way I would ever own one of these because they really are just too ugly. It's very similar to the Aveo in the fact that it's small size and lack of capability remove every chance of me ever owning one of them. I refuse to roll an ugly vehicle and that thing just about takes the cake. It may be a close second to the Pontiac Aztec (GM, mind you.)

 

What year is your Tundra? Kidding.

It may be unattractive but comparing it to an Aztec? Come on, it cannot be that bad. The only vehicles I can compare to an Aztec is the AMC Pacer and the 1980 or so T Birds that Ford did.

 

It is the front end and the interior that ruins this new Sequoia for me.

I was wondering when they were going to release the new Sequoia. I like it from the back and from the profile. I still don't like the grill. I do like the seats, and the pasenger side of the dash. I hate the floor shifter deal all together, its not a sprots car, its a truck, I would much rather have storage bin or cup holder there and the shifter back up on the colume out of the way, where it belongs . More than anthing I hate the silver trim inside, looks entirerly out of place. Over all I think it will sell well for TOyo.

 

Now thats coming from someone with a Ford, a Chevy , and a Dodge in the garge. I would say I am pretty objective. LOL
