D&SYukonDenali Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 My buddy bought a used Envoy with nav, but it has all the previous owners POI's and preset locations still set. Does any one know how to clear the nav memory? I check my Yukon manual but could not find anything on it for him. Thanks for the help!
jrrod2004 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 yeah I will pull that info (I used to be a Navigation Expert before I left GM), can I get the Year, Make Model (I know it is an Envoy)
D&SYukonDenali Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks Mike for your help. He has a 2004 Envoy XUV.
jrrod2004 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks Mike for your help. He has a 2004 Envoy XUV. Ask and you shall receive: Go to main menu by pressing the Nav Button (physical button - a picture below for physical button reference) and there should be an onscreen selection for Menu, if not, try the PHYSICAL KEY labeled CONFIG Once you get to the above screen, press the Nav Setup (using the joystick) and look for a screen like this: Once you find it, scroll down until you see "Select defaults?" Choose Yes to restore defaults, or No to retain the current settings. Then go back to the 'home screen by pressing the PHYSICAL BUTTON labeled NAV and then enter the main menu and Select the Memory Points (Using the Joystick) and look for a screen like this once selected: Using the joystick, press and hold the "Delete" Selection for approx 4-10 secs until "Delete All" appears, if this does not appear, than this means that each and every memory point will have to be deleted one by one. once the Memory Points column is deleted, move on to the Preset Dest (Preset Destination) and then move on to Areas to Avoid.....once completed, hit the PHYSICAL BUTTON labeled NAV and then turn off the truck (Suv) and then restart and procedure should be complete.
jrrod2004 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Those pics are in extremely High Resolution allowing you to print them out and take to your buddy. Good luck and ask if you have anymore questions.
