Does anyone know if power folding LED mirrors are plug and play on a truck that didnt come factory with them?

i am talking about a set of mirrors off another silverado. is buying a kit the only way to do it?

if it includes the wiring, then yes, use the link for the pdf instructions as to what wires to clamp/tap into....... dont have to buy a whole kit.......for illustration purposes only.....

If you get mirrors that came with turn signal and if your truck has at least power mirrors you can just plug them in and they will work,the signal will work, auto dim will work. The only thing that won't work is the power fold feature, you will need to take it to the dealer so they will make power fold to work. That's what I did on my 2003 Suburban. If you don't have stock power mirrors I don't think they will work. This will only work on the 2003 to 2006 models.

The power fold feature also uses a separate switch in the driver's door arm rest switch cluster. So you would need a new cluster as well. I am not sure if the switch can be bought separately. Maybe so, but the question is if the wiring connector is there already or it and where would it install. You might need to buy a new switch cluster pad(without switches that has a hole cut out for the power mirror folding switch.
